Your space is very unique. I am interested in learning about the various nuisances of the job market and how employers establish hiring criteria for those positions that require terminal degrees. I am presently exploring employment opportunities in the areas of research and administration. What advise can you give me about  ensuring that my resume is placed in the hands of the hirers and not just human resource.

WPC 2007 pre-conference activities

This is my third WPC and the key event for me to dive into the Microsoft ecosystem and the strategies that Microsoft is setting for the new fiscal year.

My WPC started with the International Association of Microsoft Certified Partners (http://www.iamcp.org) golf tournament that took place yesterday on a very beautiful golf course outside Denver. I am now sitting on the Microsoft Partner 101 session that is led by Erinie Lou and the team of speakers. I would very much recommend this to anybody that has a need to get familiar with the Microsoft ecosystem. This evening, I will have a dinner with US South-Central Microsoft executives and IAMCP South-Central IAMCP Presidents. I am the President of Dallas Fort Worth chapter and have lived in Dallas almost 10 years. As a native Finn, there is obviously very interesting to see how my fellow Finns uses the WPC to become more effective in their business.

A suggestion to all of you! Network, make sure you spend your time to understand where Microsoft is headed for fiscal year 2008, make sure you elect the sessions that make sense to you and make sure you visit regional events as much as you can!

Enjoy the event!
